am getting married in two days. Before that bombshell came down, I moved. Then I went to New Mexico for a conference for work. Other than that, I haven’t been doing much.
Over the years, one thing that has always surprised me is that no matter how busy I get, I don’t stop thinking about officiating. I see officials everywhere, traffic cops, school teachers, parents. I saw the Calgary Flames win a second round series in overtime but was focused on how the Referees traded ends mid-play. Here is some of what I saw.
Visor debate
Steve Yzerman taking a shot in the eye has rekindled the debate on the wearing of visors in the NHL. It seems that even most of the players agree that wearing a visor is no longer a sign of weakness and grandfathering in a rule about mandatory visors is a good idea. It is about time. Safety good – blindness bad.
