It started badly

did not hear where the clinic was this year. I assumed it was in the same place as last year. My mother always told me that when you assume, you make an ass of u and me. Most of her expressions were ennough for me contemplate having her committed, but that one was right on the money.

Fortunately for me, there was one other moron who also went to the wrong place. That was good in that I had someone to chat with during my cross-town humiliation trek to the correct site.

When I got there, I was overwhelmed by the number of people there. That is great news for our association, for now we have a chance to work with a lot of new officials and hopefully get to keep some of them around through the season. I found out that last year our attrition rate was near 50% by Christmas, even higher for the entire year. As an aside, I'm sure you know that is one of the biggest crises facing the game right now, and we have to keep working on it.
