Why Don't Kids Respect Their Elders These Days?
Kids learn good lessons all the time

had some lovely fan interaction at a junior game recently.

I say "lovely" in my oh-so-sardonic voice, by the by, but it at least gave me an idea for another column.

I was taking my two hard laps prior to the beginning of the third period of a game in which the home team was getting thumped. On my first pass, I saw a brief flash of colour as a group of fans stood up above the glass and yelled something unintelligible at me. It wasn't words I heard; it was more like a guttural sound that, if I had to spell it, would probably go something like this: "Thgnyaaaaah!" Judging by the intelligence level of some hockey fans, that may well have been exactly what they said as they rubbed their hairy palms on the glass.
