ast season I had my one and only tryout as a major junior linesman. I suppose it could happen again, but my two biggest drawbacks — I'm short and in my mid-30s — are not going away anytime soon.
I found it interesting, more for what happened off the ice than what happened on the ice. Truth be told, the game itself was a blur. Having to call the NHL offiside rule and touch icing — and, I suppose, the 4,500 people in the stands — were the only things that were at all different from any other game I did last year.
