Fright night's a comin'
he members of my local above-minor crew are officially in panic mode. The clinic for officials working the BC Hockey League (Junior A) in Prince George, Quesnel, and Williams Lake is expected to be the second weekend of September.
The clinic portion of the program is, for most of us, a fait accompli. Aside from the removal of the red line for offside pass purposes (see: "No More Seeing Red") and the head-checking penalty (see: "Head's Up!"), there are no major rule changes. We're Level 3 officials, so we need only an 80 percent on the written test to pass.
